California Citizen Petition:
“PG&E Should Stay Out of the Marriage Debate”
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), the largest investor-owned power company in California, has just donated $250,000 to defeat Prop. 8 (this November’s marriage amendment ballot initiative). As a public utility that services more than 15 million Californians, PG&E has no place siding with the homosexual agenda and against the views of millions of pro-family Californians in this effort to restore the traditional definition of marriage in the Golden State. Even worse, PG&E is also spearheading a move to rally other California businesses to jump aboard its anti-family bandwagon.
Tell PG&E to Stop Supporting Homosexual Marriage
On behalf of pro-family California
citizens, Focus on the Family Action is launching this
California Citizen Petition to PG&E and state leaders objecting
to PG&E’s open advocacy of homosexual marriage by its opposition
of Prop. 8. Please sign below and forward this petition to
your California friends and family.

The Petition
As a California resident, I am signing this Citizen Petition opposing Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) open advocacy of homosexual marriage and opposition of Prop. 8. As a utility that is regulated by the California Public Utilities Commission and is commissioned to serve all Californians within its jurisdiction, PG&E should not take sides in such hotly contested cultural and political debates. PG&E should withdraw its $250,000 contribution to defeat Prop. 8 and terminate any other advocacy efforts in opposition to the marriage amendment. Finally, the state Utilities Commission should implement new regulations to prevent public utilities like PG&E from abusing the public’s trust by taking sides in cultural and political debates.
